Thankful

SO thankful for this little lady.  Here's to bellies full of turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin desserts.  Hope everyone has a perfect Thanksgiving shared with the peeps they love.
We'll be at the coast hoping to not get too wet!

Here's a link to my favorite leftover turkey or ham recipe.  Seriously, SO GOOD!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Vote

Dropping off my ballot... with the help of my girl.

Watching the election coverage.

After the babe's bath we were surprised to see that the election had already been called and that our President would be staying put for another 4 years.  So, we moved on to see how all of the other measures, etc came out... the hoosband and I are basically experts on all of the measures after our study session the other night.  Ha!  Can they make it any more confusing to know what you're voting for?  Seriously, they need to make it easy enough for Presley to vote in order for me to be able to feel like I'm not being tricked into voting a certain way.  Maybe it's just me????

Halloweeny

Snapshots from Halloween....

Her Daddy carved her the perfect jack-o-lantern.

Pres dressed up as the cutest little donkey.  I added lots (maybe too many?) bows to make sure she looked like a lady donkey :)

Just for fun, my little ladybug- from Halloween last year.

Cinnamon & Sugar Donuts

My favorite babysitter growing up used to make us the yummiest donuts ever for breakfast.  Her recent visit reminded me of them and I've been wanting to make them for my little family.

They are SO easy to make and are just as delicious as I remember.  They actually taste like an elephant ear- yum!  The best part is that you make them with Pillsbury biscuits!!  Told ya they were easy!

Heat up a couple inches of oil.  I didn't check the temperature with a thermometer- I just let the oil heat up slowly and dropped small bits of the dough in to see if it was hot enough to start to brown the dough.

While the oil is heating, cut the biscuits into four pieces.  You could also do whole biscuits or cut them into shapes (we made some hearts).

Cook them long enough to turn golden brown and then flip them over to do the same to the other side.

"We want donuts, we want donuts!"

After the donuts are done cooking, roll them in cinnamon and sugar and eat them up!

Happy Sunday!

17 Months!

I really can't believe it's already November.  I really, really can't believe the bambino (I refuse to acknowledge that she's not a baby anymore) is 17 months old today.

She still seems to be growing like a weed- and out of all of her pants.  I swear they fit for a month and then they're too short.  She went to her first Blazer game of the season this month and was away for her Daddy for the first extended amount of time while he was gone elk hunting.  She missed him!  She still loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but there's a new toon moving in on Mickey- Special Agent Oso.

She LOVES cucumbers.  She will pick them as a snack over anything else.  Taking after her Poppy and Uncle Ryan!  She also really likes chicken strips, jello, chocolate pudding, cheese and applesauce.  She still eats breakfast in our bed every morning while I finish getting ready for work.

She amazes me everyday with how smart she's getting, she picks up on everything.  We definitely need to start being more careful about what we say around her :)

She was a donkey for halloween this year, but she wasn't quite as into her costume as she was last year.  (I had to add some cute bows to make sure everyone knew she was a girl donkey:)  I can't stand how big she looks here!

Happy 17 months Pres!!!
