Christmas Eve... {2012}

Oh man, I'm so behind on Christmas posts.  It seems like no matter how prepared for the Holidays I try to be, it just becomes one glittery, sugar cookie, wrapping paper and candy cane jumbled up sh*t show :)  BUT, my girl enjoyed every minute of it (mostly) so it was totally (mostly) worth it :)

More on Christmas Eve later- complete with a power outage that lead to unwrapping presents by fire flash light and a dinner relocation :)  Memories!

Hope you all had family-filled fun.

Oh Christmas Tree... Presley's Very Own

Lucky for her, this little red car (custom painted by her Daddy with a gold(!) top) was able to haul her little tree home.  And she looked darn cute doing it.  :)

Oh Christmas Tree...

I think this is the one!

 Sticks.  The girl loves sticks.

After she picked out our big tree, we were off to find one more her size.

Nothing like a morning of rushing to find a perfect tree before the hoosband got sick all over that little tree field.  Normally we take our time and go from tree to tree until we are tree drunk but this year we were in and out since the Mr. was a sicky.
On a side note- I bought these boots so long ago and I just can't believe they actually fit the babe.  I remember thinking they looked SO big.  Yikes.  Slow this girl down.
On a second side note- CLEARLY I have a boot problem when it comes to my girl.  I swear the barista gals at Starbucks are excited to see what boots P's wearing every morning.

The Day After Thanksgiving

The day after Thanksgiving we made our way down to the beach in Bandon.  Presley would have stayed and played all day.  And she would have turned into a popsicle!
p.s. How cute is that coat of hers?!?

18 Months!

I have a 1 1/2 year old!  Hard to believe, but true.

The little lady has become a major jibber-jabberer lately- she's trying so hard to talk, talk, talk.  Every so often she'll say a word clear as day.  Like "no" or "bath" or "bye".  My favorite is "bye" which she says like the most valley of all the valley girls "byeeeeeeeeeee".  It's so cute to watch her have conversations with her toys and then just start cracking up, like knee slapping cracking up.  Cuteness overload!
She's still loving pickles, yogurt, applesauce, chicken and cheese-its.  Some days she loves something and others she'll refuse to eat it... but one thing's for sure- she always is in the mood for milk!  She's gonna have nice strong bones!  She had her first Starbucks hot chocolate while we were decorating the tree and loved it.
I'm excited for all of the Christmas festivities this year, I think she'll really have fun with everything.  We took her to see Santa and his reindeer last night and she didn't panic when she sat on Santa's lap.  It seems like she's at the age where all kids just freak out for their Santa pic but she seemed alright, not exactly excited about it, but alright :)  She gave Santa two good high fives before we said goodbye.  I think she's got a spot on the nice list.

She hasn't had her 18 month check up yet, so no stats today.  I'm so curious to see if she's slowed down in the growth department.  I did have to take her to the doctor last week because she had been a sicky for a week or so.  It was her first appointment with a new doctor since her regular doc is moving to a new clinic that's too far away for our regular visits.  I was kind of nervous about her having a male doc since she sometimes takes a while to warm up to unfamiliar men.  Well, she tried to plant a big fat smooch on her young, handsome doc.  I just about died!  I think she likes him ;)

All in all she's a happy (with a side of feisty) girl!  Happy 18 months my girl!  LOVE YOU!  Your smooches are the very best!

Let's Get This Holiday Season Party Started!

It's December 1st and we've officially kicked off the holiday season at our house.  The tree is up and decorated... and hopefully it will stay that way.  A certain someone is very intrigued by the ornaments that look like a ball which she loves to throw all over the place.  I'm pretty sure I'm going to be chasing ornaments all over the place for the next couple of months.

I've got lots to catch up on- so expect to hear (or read) a lot more from me in the next few days.  :)

Let the holiday madness begin!
